TopgunTT
Try WARICK DAVIS, I have been with them for the last 2 years now as they do agreed value and replace for a like for like. Something i had to have after all the money i have spent on the car, ie Monster Brake set up. Big shame the club insurer doesn't do it, Been saying this for a while now, Especially with all the new members on here now. Good luck anyway

AF have "bent the rules" they say, and have sent me an Agreed Value form out before I sign up with them. They usually ask you to sign up (pay) and then assess the agreed value bit - not happy with that ! Will keep you posted... G
Gerry
Re Warwick Davis Spoke to a very nice young lady today, who said she could offer "like for like" on the modifications but not on the whole car. This means that if the car is worth 10K and is written off, you would still only get the "book value" back (lots lower now I feel). I'll let you know the outcome of AF ! AdzC
That is correct. I am with adrian flux and they gave me a REALLY good price on insurance Likewise. Just had to write a list of mods and send some photos in.

Gerry
Sky offered me agreed value this year, just need to sort it. I told Sky this morning that I was looking elsewhere as they couldn't offer me Agreed Value and they said OK. AF have come back with an agreed value of £10K (I was after £12which I thought was fair). The car is on excellent nic, got 49,000 miles and about £6K of mods on. Pushing for an increase on the agreed value... will keep you posted :-)

Gerry
You have Pm.. (in a sec when i write it) Thanx Ian, but as you know I accepted the Adrian Flux quote this afternoon. Agreed value policy (after haggling, £11K) and £140 cheaper than Sky. In view of the Agreed Value situation of Sky (none offered) perhaps it's time to review our recommended Club insurer ? Tricky-Ricky
If you don't mind me asking, how much did they charge you?
lui
If you don't mind me asking, how much did they charge you? I think personally asking what price people pay for there insurance doesn't matter as for every single person on here all there personal circumstances are different the only thing that helps is like for like price between company's & seeing what they offer. I have always been with sky insurance & have all my vehicles insured with them & they always looked after me

I have always been with sky insurance & have all my vehicles insured with them & they always looked after me I think this is very true, and i was with sky for the last couple of years and they were very good, Although i did just switch insurer.. when my renewal came up last week i asked for a quote on some work i am having done, which was fine.. i then rang around and got it a few hundred pounds cheeper!!! (was even with the same company that i was with through sky)... so it is always good to check around... Sky were very good previously and very helpful and polite on phone.. to be honest they probably could have matched that quote, i was just a bit put out by the near £300 differance in cost.. Always check around..

Sorry, do you mean Sky or Adrian Flux, in your last post, you said that you had been offered it by Sky ! If you had, have you had it before with Sky ? Cheers G

My AF policy is with Ensign (it was with QBE with Sky last year). I have a horrible feeling that Insurance Companies / Brokers hide behind the fact that everybodys risks are different to "fill their boots" sometimes. Tricky-Ricky Don't see why we should help them be secretive, I paid £550.00 for Sue & I. Both got clean (by one week) licences and 5 years no claims. Garaged in a village in Wiltshire, no other special risks (apart from my driving) The main thing is how do they handle claims and I know through personal history that AF have been fair with me in the past.
