Gerry
As above... does anybody do this now ? I'll obviously talk to Sky, but I'm sure they don't offer it any more. Cheers Gerry
jamesmark
Sky do not offer this to new customers or returning customers. However when I asked about it they said that they may be able to swing it for me but I forgot about it when I actually took out the policy. chrisavila100
Try these mate, they charge an extra £15 for an agreed value policy! Im insured with them and no complaints yet! they are not the cheapest out there but the only company that would do this type of policy.. http://www.HertsInsurance.com
juanchan
Sky offered it to me when I renewed just ebfore Christmas. I didn't have it the year before either.
jamesmark
Sky offered it to me when I renewed just ebfore Christmas. I didn't have it the year before either. I think thats because you were an exsisting customer and not a new one or returning customer. (by returning I mean left them for maybe a few months then returned)

Gerry
Just to confirm, Sky can't give "agreed value" to new customers. Just spoke to Daniel there who was very friendly & helpful and gave me what I think is a good (OK, not amazing) figure, inc all mods for BPU etc. Will be going with them unless I can get an agreed value at roughly the same price. Gerry
Hi, I'm starting this thread again as it's insurance time in a couple of weeks and it seems that the "book price" of Supes has likley to have fallen again. This means that if the car was written off there would be a Big difference between what I've spent on it and what I would be offered for it as a write off. I'm with Sky at the mo, who couldn't offer it last year, but I'm more determined to get it if at all possible. Hs anybody got Agreed Value Insurance in the last year (on a new policy) ? Cheers G

bigcol
adrian flux do yes but they are robbing b'stards if you need to cancel your policy and to be honest id never use them again, they are too quick at changing their policies, still some people like them mind you some people like marmite:search:

Gerry
Thanx, I'll give A F a go. I used to use them when I had a Westfield, the first one was totally destroyed in a fire and the second had 3rd degree burns from an engine fire and they were very fair with both claims ! I'll keep the thread posted. G

absz
That is correct. I am with adrian flux and they gave me a REALLY good price on insurance they refused me agreed value due to engine performance mods:(
SUPRALOOPY
I can't rate SKY enough for this service. I had renewed my policy with them and they needed to redo the agreed value, while I was sorting this out I had my accident and wrote the car off. Sky insurance using ensign stuck to the agreed value even though I had not sorted it out. Now thats what I call a good service, even if SKY do not offer this service anymore they went out of there way to get the claim sorted and they did this all within 6-9 weeks. I now have a traders policy but think sky should be remebered for what they did for me!! Dave

Gerry
Just filled out an on-line quote for Adrian Flux who, in their advert (see: http://www.adrianflux.co.uk/modified-detail-go.php ) offer agreed value on modified cars ! We will see ! PS. the form had space for four modifications (even I need 23 to be 100% accurate) dread to think of the hoops the Big Single boys have to go through
Angarak
Lancaster Insurance offer an agreed value on a classic car policy, car must be over 10yrs old to qualify and will have a limited mileage restriction.
AlanM
Was it Lancaster that used to do this as well?
