cheekymonkey
Argh. I had a cold in November, then one a couple of weeks before xmas. Literally in the last hour I am have gone from feeling 100% fine to a slight head ache and that nasal feeling that means you've got one coming on! I blame the gym, and traveling to and within London on the train. I never used to get more than one a year
tooquicktostop
The train/tube into London is a nightmare for catching stuff, I have a 45 min journey usually standing up in a crowded carrage and there is always someone coughing and sneezing the whole way I have a flu jab which seems to help a bit
cheekymonkey
I have a 45 min journey usually standing up in a crowded carrage and there is always someone coughing and sneezing the whole way I generally stay off work if I feel ill - I can't understand why people come in when they are obviously ill and contagious. I have a flu jab which seems to help a bit That might be an option. Other option is to get the hell out of London as soon as I possibly can

Lukeyboy2k
I generally stay off work if I feel ill - I can't understand why people come in when they are obviously ill and contagious. I see your logic here. Ill people should stay at home to prevent passing the illness on. However, if I called up my present (or previous) employer and told them I had a cold I would be made to feel like a wuss and pressured into attending work. Another problem is that people are often contagious before they realise the true extent of their illness.

jim_supra
I've only just in the last couple of days got rid of a cold I'd had since Christmas eve! I just couldn't shake it, every time I thought I was starting to get rid of it, it got worse again!

AlexM
I've only just in the last couple of days got rid of a cold I'd had since Christmas eve! I just couldn't shake it, every time I thought I was starting to get rid of it, it got worse again! I've had something similar. I don't tend to get 'ill', have a cold for perhaps a week a year at most, but pre-Christmas was a nightmare! I had booked the whole of Christmas to New Year off work, had one day of slacking off then the next day I had flu-symptoms followed by a very bad cold, which I got rid of 4 days ago! I now have a runny nose which I'm hoping does not mean I'm in for another one . Fingers crossed I don't, should be visiting a friends nephew on Sunday to get my first mk4 experience (love the looks but never seen one in the flesh, best make sure I really like them before I buy )
