neil tt
I get a lift to work everyday from my boss, the problem is that he drives like a idiot, and sooner or late is going to either kill me or someone else. We go the same way to work everyday, we travel through a long villiage, which has a thirty limit, which he will quite often go through at 50mph, and talking on the phone at the same time. The question is would the police be intrested if I was to tell them, and should I tell them in the first place. I do feel that it would be very nice to tell the police, but he's just an accident waiting to happen:search: I not pretending to be an angel that doesn't go over the limit sometimes, but I do think he is pushing his luck and everyone around him. jamesmark
I would, a nice tip off and loss of license might wake him up. 3 points for the phone (possibly) and 3 points for the speeding.
Kranz
and 3 points for the speeding. 50 in a 30 is court territory
Lukeyboy2k
I think you should re-iterate your thoughts to your boss if you've not already done so as a first port of call. Sit down and have a serious discussion with him before involving anyone else. I'm sure most of us see idiots on the road not paying attention, using their phones driving inappropriately fast etc on a daily basis, and yes I feel like grassing them up, but I have decided to let it go (on all but one occasion.) These people are "responsible adults", who have chosen to act that way. If something terrible happens, then they must accept the consequences. Without concrete proof, I wouldn't imagine the old bill would be too interested unfortunately. I'd also consider another method of getting to work. neil tt
It does save me £30 in fuel each week, I just thought if they put up a mobil camera in the villiage it might slow him down a bit:)
dangerous brain
Tell him straight you are getting to work another way or he slows down. 30 quid aint worth the aggro mate.
Kranz
The question is would the police be intrested if I was to tell them. No. But if they have a Safety Camera Partnership (i.e. council/police joint venture to put out mobile speed trap vans etc) then contacting them about the village may be worth while. Pig
30 quid aint worth the aggro mate. If you were to be in an accident it certainly wouldnt be worth the stress and pain etc.

Havard
I wouldn't mention anything to him as he could be funny about your employment rightly or wrongly. Maybe a tip off to the raod safety people would be a good move. You could also turn this situation on it's head and tell him that you saw a camera in the village a couple of days before!! This way you are a grass and a good employee at the same time.....LOL!! H.

I mean no offence to the lovely ladies on this fine forum, but my female friends do scare me more when they're driving than my male mates! merckx
He needs points on his licence, I wouldn't be a passenger in his car either. The resident cops on here should be able to give you the best advice. There should be an automatic prison sentence if you use your phone while driving.
