Hi,

Dunno if anyone else tuned in, but i thought this was brilliant. However i was shocked to find that in they put gay men in prision with general population etc.

I have nothing against gay people what so ever but i really think this program showed just how exploited they are. They get an easier time in there if they dress / behave like women etc.

Its just wrong if you ask me........

I didn't see the program so cannot comment on its content but why were you shocked by that? Did you think that gay people have their own prison?

What struck me was the fact the guys in there were so happy... WTF? I think the show proved that the prison system doesn't work for institutionalised repeat offenders (they repeat to get back in!).

I think we should;

1) Execute people who murder, rape, child molest and it's a 100% water tight case.

2) Deal with repeat offenders in a harsher way - remove fingers etc then limbs etc...

This might make some feckers think twice....

cracked me up when the ex nazi white supremacist who dropped out of the brotherhood gang was dating a jewish gay bloke

That was funny/bizarre!! :rlol:

You had to see it, I was surprised at how feminine they were. It's not quite what you expect. :)

Compelling viewing. I wonder how the other convicts felt about the transgender person and the "other half" sharing a cell together? I would've thought they'd get a kicking.

It also made me think about how I'd act if I got locked up there. In my normal life I interact with people from many races, but it wasn't the done thing there. Would you just play along with and join the white/black/indian/mexican/a.n.other gang, or try and act like you would outside??

Nah i just thought there would be more controls on what went on etc. Its a difficult one, but surely its like sticking in a straight man in a prision full of horny women lol.

Yeh the food was awful!!.

There was also something quite captivating about that guy who was serving 512 years plus 11 life sentences (What a stupid amount of time, would be easier to say your not getting out buddy!).

It would depend on how much you valued your life...

I'd become a racist in jail if it meant I stayed alive! As they say pride comes before a fall, I'd rather set aside my own views than get kicked to death by a gang.

Amazing program, first bit of tv i've watched in ages. I too was astonised to hear the views of the prisoners on actually doing time.

That Mr silver guy, just content at living 23 hours in a small cell, no human connection, then when he does get yard time, hes in a slightly bigger cell on his own  what an existence. Even tho he did terrible things, i felt sorry for him. He seemed quite intelligent too.

Shame things turn out the way the do for some people.

I read an extract from a paper detailing what he did, you should not feel any sorrow for that low life, shooting would be to good for him
