Pete
This country seems to lack the foresight to plot a series beyond 12 episodes. Can we not cope or something? Mostly down to funding. You'll find that British writers, designers and actors amongst the finest in the world. Just look at Graphic Novels we produce for story and writing, some amazing stuff out there. Gaz Walker
As for British TV and 'manufactured' Yank TV. All TV is manufactured FFS. The day the Brits come up with a series like Lost, Heroes, Battlestar, The Sopranos, Six Feet Under etc etc will be a cold day in Hell. I don't think we are a million miles away to be honest. Spooks last year was brilliant. Gaz.

Thorin
Look back to Babylon 5 with it's five year main story. I never did see the last series of Babylon 5 or any of the films they did. I'm trying to download the whole lot at the moment to start watching them again. 5 series, 4 films, and a spin off that I'd never even heard of (Crusades) I believe.
