evanshaw
I've an AI606 too, but I think the actual siren unit has failed as it makes no noise whatsoever now. Does anyone know if these have to be paired somehow with the controller unit or can I just plug in a replacement?
Guigsy
Epic thread bump. Today my car cut out after about 20 secs of getting into it. If I arm then disarm and try to start it it cranks, turns over and fires up for about half a second. Then the indicators flash and the car dies. I'm assuming it's the alarm because of the indicators. Maybe the car somehow got in valet mode? And it cut the car at xx mph? And won't let me start it to stop it being stolen? But the status led should be orange if it's in valet mode :/ My old Clifford did this and wouldn't start till you typed in a code. Anyone? I'd like to get the car moving for the London motor museum meet tomorrow if I can and save the trouble of recovery

ScottC
I have a wiring diagram for a Toad AI606 if that helps. Looks simple enough to just bypass the immobiliser. Edited January 27, 2012 by ScottC (see edit history)
Guigsy
Electrics confuse the he'll out of me so don't think that would be too usefull. At the mo. Thanks tho. Abz
What model is it dude? I just had a Clifford alarm installed today & they normally give you instruction manuals. Hopefully someone will have one so you can test/reset. Does sound like an alarm issue though.

SupraP-Z
I used to have loads of problems with mine jamming, central locking used to die out...i just used to disconnect the battery for about 15 minutes and it would be fine. In the past 5 months ive been hearing really wierd sounds from the siren, like a constant croaking sound....which died out after a few weeks or so, i disconnected the battery again and now i hear no chirps or sirens or anything of the sort. This leads me to believe that my siren is fooked, need to replace it.
ScottC
My Toad alarm started making those funny croaking noises (insert joke here) on my last car, turned out to be a fubbered battery in the siren.
