Rear suspension rattle noise

Hi!

I got a rattling noise from the rear of the car (possibly suspension) on rough roads (doesn't rattle on highways or plan surfaces). I had the trunk lid rubber pads changed, without effect. The car currently runs on 18" rims(they don't touch the inner part of the wheelarches in any way though) with stock springs and absorbers, and has 50 000 kms so far. Does anyone experienced that??

Welcome to the club Tom!

I`ve been trying to sort this out for a long while now, have partially succeeded, the front knock has gone, still an annoying rattle at the n/s rear. So far i`ve replaced all the shocks with KYB AGX adjustables, done the rear suspension bushings with comp. items (see here) http://www.tmengineering.net/suspension/r2racing/index.html

and recently fitted a rear strut brace. Make sure your subframe bolts are at the correct tightness as well. Top mounts possibly?? Let us know

rgds

Roy.
