FreeLander 2wd conversion?

Jake

Recommended Posts

While my Supra is off the road with the knackered heater matrix I'm driving our FreeLander (1.8 K-series engine :shudder: )

I know it's a heavy car but for a 1.8 the fuel consumption is frankly pathetic. Now, I seem to remember some mention of converting the FreeLander to two wheel drive and gaining an extra 3-5 mpg. Anyone know owt about this?

Would one be converting it to FWD or RWD?

How would you do this? Just disconnecting drive shafts, or what?

Thanks for any help
