ASDA parking fines.

Losing both kids between car and shop entrance rather than just the one LOL

I dunno, it does make life much easier the closer you are.... less time for tantrums/shoes to fall off/jumping in puddles/getting reversed over..... the list is endless :D

*Decides never to have kids*

:D

Yes - it's their land and they can enforce whatever parking restrictions they want, so long as there are adequete signs posted that warn of these penalties before you park.

Sorry, but there's no justification for parking like that. I am just as concerned about the 'tit' element as you, but seeing an able-bodied person step out of a car parked on a disabled/family space would annoy most people - especially those with families. Also, bearing in mind the mind-set of some people nowadays they might just decide to key your car for a petty revenge? BTW I'm not advocating this - I think car-keyers should be minced!:twak:

There are plenty of things you could do to avoid scuffs and scratches before taking up a space put there for less able people::idea:

1 - Park at the other end of the car-park and walk 100-200m. I'm sure that as a 30 year old 'fit?':D man you're quite able to use those things that hang off your arse called legs?

2 - Get a runaround car. It doesn't matter if it gets dinged, dented etc, will probably save you money and, let's face it, can fit a whole lot more in the boot and the back. ;)

3 - If you really, really have to then double park on the regular spaces. There's far more of them, so your chances of inconveniencing (able-bodied) people is far less.:)

ETA: I am not disabled and I don't have a family, so am not biased in all this :)

Not that simple mate, my Asda is a very small store, well the store aint so small but their surrounding space is, and the car park is actually tiny for the size of the store, its always a complete headache to get parked, so parking at the other end of the car park is the same, all the spaces are always rammed full. Buying a second car just for that I cant afford, two insurances, two lots of tax etc, and even the third option of double parking is usually hard work to find two spaces together that are empty.

Thats why I often use the family bays, I wont use the disabled bays but the family bays, I just dont see why they have them, surely the family bays account for 99.9% of the preople that shop at Asda and I just see those as a farce......

Yes peop,e should be more carfull of banging into you but their not. They are lazy, and couldnt care less, so park at the back.

So if everyone is lazy and dont give a **** whether they ding my freshly sprayed car and cant be bothered to take any care when parking, why should I when deciding where I should park.......why should I always be the one to take care about my parking when no one else is going to take care parking next to me.......sad but true...its a case of what goes around, comes around, they cant be arsed so neither will I...;)

I do sympathise, after all i am in the same situation as you. I love may car, i take great care of it. My local ASDA also has a very small car park thats always full etc. Thats why i dont use ASDA !!, i go to a different supermarket where i can pretty much guaruntee that i can go to the back and park over 2 spaces and there will still be plenty of spaces spare.

Sorry but Im not driving to other side of town to the next supermarket when Asda is at the end of my estate, Im not really concerned whether two wrongs make a right or not, Im not even bothered what everyone else thinks, and Im sure you would be the same after spending 4k on a respray to come back and find some idiot has clearly maked your passenger door after only having the car back on the road for a couple of weeks, sorry but all this two wrongs rubbish and do gooder talk just dont cut it when a lot of money is involved

Maybe it's because I'm a parent, but would it not make sense to merge disable and parent/kid spaces?

Our wonderful new Farm Foods in Pitsea has a row of 12 disabled bays and I've never seen more then 2 or 3 used, and a couple of them I was dubious about..

oh dear they will probably burn that one down again

I hope we don't see a post off you in future about some parent scratching your car with a trolley.:)

There's a real possibility that this could happen, you might get more than just a little dent too.

I wouldn't turn them in.

I've got no respect at all for anyone who decides to park in one of these bays, you never know how needy a person may be that turns up and cannot park their vehicle and for that reason alone you shouldn't do it .

It's just pure selfish behaviour, of course it's your pride and joy but so can a £2000 car for someone who hasn't got much money!

I will have to buy a realistic baby doll, if Tescos take up this stance. I find the parent and child bays very convenient. Swaddle the doll up in a blanket and carry it in, put it in the trolley, shop, return, sling it in the back, job sorted.

LOL until social services come calling with a child protection order :D

Cracking idea Chris. How about verbally throwing the thing in the bin when youve finished.(only if there is an audience of course).:D

That would cause a stir.

Is it really that much hassle to park at the other end of the carpark? (which is what I do)

And what if the car park is only a small one and doesnt have many free spaces let alone an area of car park at the back thats always empty...........otherwise trust me I would......
