Lee GZ
Had my TT about 3 months now and very pleased I am to ;0) I recently purchased some neon's to go underneath and I was just wondering if any one could offer some advice as where the best place would be to mount them so I get the full effect! I've got a metallic green TT with a full veilside kit so I bought green neon's. Now the front and sides I think will be ok but it's just the rear? What I don’t want is any of the neon's showing and Im having a real prob trying to decide on the best place to mount it!! If any one could offer some advice I would really appreciate it. Cheers
eldudereno
Don't degrade your car with underbody neons.

eldudereno
To be honest, I don't think they look too bad on some cars.
Guest Max-GT
I've got a set of red led (santa lights as Ian C called them)... And apart from the front one, they are fairly subtle and give a nice effect... The back one is screwed just undernearth the bumper, tucked into the tow hook in one place.... Clarkey
I had neons. I had 2 tubes break. Total ball-ache from the fitting of the bloody things to getting them ripped out! A real puta! Go for LED Varads. Problem with neon tubing - is that it doesn't take much punishment and it's easily broken. Varads are stronger & alot brighter. My neighbour has them on his MR2 mk1 -they're more expensive .. but you get alot more for your money.
Muffleman
Ah who cars, if it feels good - DO IT ! Are they actually illegal to use on the road ? I thought they were illegal because they are a distraction, but a friend of mine was talking to a policeman who said that as far as he knew, if they were declared on the insurance, then they were legal to use. Oh, and I'll take pics of mine and post for ya Matt
toyotasuprauk
Metallic green, sounds interesting. Got any pictures of your car?
SimonB
Are they actually illegal to use on the road ? AFAIK they are legal as long as you can't see the light source directly. I.e. if you mount them behind the skirts/bumpers so you can only see the light reflected off the ground and not direct.
Green Peace
I have Green LED undercar lighting and my cars metalic green too...it looks great despite what some say..though I have a prob with the rear ones as they do show and not sure how you can hide them...but Green on green car is cool
Dragonball
Dont fit undercar neons! Fit LED's! No power drain and they look much better - hardier / stronger / versitile! (I know from experience) BTW - pics are of my old soop with fittings courtesy of Quetion Boy at Matt Harwood's from VARAD range - internals and externals
China Man
I think it looks good only if it is professionally finished. For example, I have seen car with neon/led tube hanging and sticking out. We want to see the light effect on the floor not the leon tube
terribleturner
And of course seeing the actual tube makes it illegal on the car
sooper-supra
kk read all this so where can i get green led lighting for my black supra ?
Bobbeh
Unless your car looks like a kitted/wheeled up race car, it'll look dumb and cheap.
