Not that you need any help selling cars:D Lovely car though, there are quite a few in Cyprus as half the cars on the road there are J-spec imports. CJ
...Lovely car though, there are quite a few in Cyprus as half the cars on the road there are J-spec imports. That's interesting. Do they not have the same crazy import rules that Greece has then?
ilicos
That's interesting. Do they not have the same crazy import rules that Greece has then? Not at all. Cyprus was part of the British Empire and as such, they drive in the left hand side of the road so bringing cars from Japan makes sense. Plus, we do not have the same polution rate as Greece (Athens in particular) so emmissions tests are quite lax.

Plus, we do not have the same polution rate as Greece (Athens in particular) so emmissions tests are quite lax. I knew about the right hand driving but wondered if the Cypriot Government was as strict on taxation of imports. Here, regardless of whether the car was bought and paid for and taxed etc in the EU, the Greek government insist on an import duty that equates to a high % of the original value of the car. In theory, it means we can only drive our UK cars here for 6 months before having to register them at an extortionate cost.
