philstowell
just a quick one really, i found a garage near my dads place in newton - le - willows near st helens and they have quoted for a full service 230 quid? which i think is quite reasonable, when i get it done if all is groovy and all that ill try and put there details up on here as the main man seemed quite switched on. cheers all. phill
CJ
What do they consider a "full service"?
philstowell
i have to give a ring to find out exactly what before the time, im sure he mentioned oil, sparks, air filter, brake fluid and that but not 100%, so when i give a bell closer to the time ill put on here exactly what, does 230 seem decent for it though, if it is indeed full? tooquicktostop
Mine goes in Monday for a Full sevice and have been quoted 400-500 pounds with a cambelt and gearbox oil/diff oil so your quote is either very good or missing something IMO
Dave F
Cost wise that sounds like a basic fluid change service without a cambelt change to me.
Multics
I had an oil+oil filter change, diff oil, gearbox oil and fanbelt at whifbitz for 300 quid all included. Hope this helps.
The Raven
Thank the good lord for Dan (4) This weekend he is Replacing my water pump Cam cover Gasket And fuel Filter £70 Legand!
turbonut
I bought all the oils myself, also sparks and oil/air filters; cost £200 for those engine, diff, brake fluid, gear oil and filters all replaced or topped up. Their labour charges were high and they were a right bl@@dy shower so it took them ages but circa £350-£400 would be realistic, more if you need a cambelt change as that can take a while. Definitely find out what the service includes and what the make/quality of the oils are, may be less to order them yourself and just pay their labour rates. Konrad
Depends from materials really. I do use iridium spark plugs (50 pounds), Silkolene Oil (around 50 pounds), Air filter (12 pounds), Coolant Toyota 4 life (not sure but around 40 pounds?), oil filter (6 pounds). Coolant and oil (oil filter) I can change by myself, spark plugs was done by TrickTT (looks like an easy job, but never seen it done before on NA ), air filter by myslef. Cost of materials around 160 pounds. 240 should be ok then, if you are not fancy doing it yourself
