michael
I presume you know that protein can be found in things that aren't made of meat? It shouldn't be too tricky Are you going to be a proper veggie or a fish murdering one? Are you OK with dairy foods? Have you done any research on this at all or will each meal involve you posting up here for help as you do with everything else you do in your life? http://www.theveggietable.com/articles/protein.html And many more... Godmutha
lol.... Meat is too nice.... I was veggie when i was a teenager for about a year and a half, although I think that was just to be difficult and rebellious though. I did miss burgers and steak etc, quorn, tofu and alternatives just arent the same. Why are you considering becoming veggie?
Kranz
Just use a protein supplement if you think you're not getting enough. Whey protein is easy & quick.

RedM
I used to be Vegan and I'm gradually working back to that level at the moment. I'm at work at the moment and the net is crawling along for some reason. I'll respond more in-depthly when I get home.

juanchan
One of my mates went veggie because her boyfriend is one. Whenever she comes to visit it's such a hassle to find food in my kitchen without using meat/protein/gelatine etc that it's always an expensive weekend out in every eaterie in town
tbourner
Had a massive discussion last night after the butchered baby cow thing on TV, we eventually concluded that veggies/vegans are just plain wrong and their opinions when it comes to food don't count. keancy
A couple of good mates of mine are Veggies and they are for ever poorly. Clearly not getting what they need from their food. I don't eat much meat but that's not cause I am a wanna be veggie, just a fussy eater.
RedM
Oddly, I've been ill far more often since not being Vegan.
lust2luv
I've been veggie since 1989. Most 'meat substitutes' contain decent amounts of protein, of which quorn is only one (made from fungus (!), not cardboard) Getting some vitamins is more of an issue, although there're always supplements you can take. Tricky-Ricky
My wife is full vegetarian, and non dairy, not unhealthy, and pretty active, she still cooks meat for me, although i try not to eat to much red meat, even eat quorn sometimes, and its not bad when cooked right in a nicely flavoured stir fry, "Are you going to be a proper veggie or a fish murdering one?":d Funny, i occasionally taunt the wife with the theory that plants/vegetables scream when uprooted/cut up:)
Ark
Surely the need to eat supplements tells you something, namely that your diet is rubbish...

Interesting. I think, on balance I'll give it a miss. Meat just don't taste that great. Maybe I need to learn how to cook.
