garethr Posted January 10, 2008 Share Posted January 10, 2008 Bloody hell, 120 @ 3000rpm? I understand why thats a good thing but its a bit of a waste is it not? Or is it just 6th thats so long? Surely that'll cut mega mph off the top end?It's like a Corvette (same 'box?), with a double overdrive (5th and 6th). Fourth is the 1:1 ratio rather than 5th. I guess the LS2 has the torque to deal with the high ratios, and it probably helps General Motors to meet the "Corporate Average Fuel Economy" target in the US.
