cheekymonkey
I am going to tackle this one myself - I enjoy working at the top end of the engine! Does the whole inlet manifold have to come right off for this job? I will be leaving the stock fuel rail in place. Will I need to replace any gaskets, or are there any other jobs worth doing when I'm down there?
Tricky-Ricky
It doesn't have to but its a dam site easier if you take off the plenum/throttle body.
cheekymonkey
Throttle body is OK but which bit is the Plenum or is that a fancy word for manifold?
Tricky-Ricky
The plenum is the big chunky bit that the throttle body is bolted to, but the manifold which is what the plenum is bolted to can stay put;) the biggest pain is getting the stay nuts undone. cheekymonkey
OK, thanks! In the words of Arthur Dent... "Ah, this is obviously some new usage of the word 'drop-in' I was previously unaware of." :D:D
