Wez
I already run on R888s but why the need for race fuel?
Branners
TOTB has a knack of being on the hotest days of the year. The race fuel or toluene should give you a safety margin that wont be there on road fuels. I would say its more safety than performance based. Others may use the safety marging to get more performance. JB

JB OK, I may be able to get a race fuel map done, its going to be tight though as I have trackdays between now and TOTB and I havent configured things like launch control yet. I have a trackday that requires a quiet car but then TOTB are imposing noise limits as well this year, I am sure my car will have more power with the Veilside over the Tanabe, I will have to see. Branners
If you are struggling for time I would simply drop some toluene in to give a boost to the RON and run it on a streetmap. Naturally a racefuel map would be better but worst case the use of Optimax and tol should give a suitable safety margin. JB

Wez
I emailed Chris Mann and he sent me a form I could fill in, this has been emailed back and I will follow it up with a cheque and paper copy.

SteveL
I've got some R888's part worn here if there any good for someone. I'll post for nothing if that helps - as I'm feeling guilty
tDR
Just picked up this email from Chris Mann: --- hi brian i've not received any more forms at all, other than the 3 as of last week. i have to send out all the info this weekend, its a week past the cut off date already. if anyone elses form arrives now i'll have to see if we can fit them in or hold them as a reserve until a space becomes free now, (always happens) but around the 15th -17th we will make it final and no more changes. at the minute i cant promise places now as such, i will do my best tho to fit the guys in for you if the forms come. regards and thanks for chasing people at this late stage --- It sounds like Wez has since managed to get a spot Both Gruggs and Envy's applications seem to be lost in the wilderness though..... guys do you want to chase them? Make sure you're in. On the race fuel, as JB says - if for one reason you want to run it, it's because it always tends to be HOT at TOTB. Hot = increased charge temps = increased chance of detonation. The cooling effect of the higher octane fuel will keep you safe in this regard. I ran it for this reason and for the extra performance it helps me extract from a relatively stock setup with some mapping optmisation Cheers, Brian. Gruggs
Hi Wez, Yeah mine seemed to get lost in the post. Meant to take care of it today but work was hectic (plus my little stop out to the garage) I'll get on it tomorrow. Cheers G

Wez
Just measured the noise level on my car Idle: 102.8db 4000rpm: 113.5db These are at approx 0.5m away at approx 45deg.
Gaz Walker
Chris confirmed our car, unfortunately Green with Envy isn't running as it isn't upto power/no confirmed times as of yet. See you all on Sunday Gaz.
Wez
Is that because of the noise level?
michael
Just measured the noise level on my car Idle: 102.8db 4000rpm: 113.5db These are at approx 0.5m away at approx 45deg. If you can run a 10 in your first couple of attempts and are preregistered as being noisy then you'll be OK - otherwise you'll get booted off with no refund. Wez
If you can run a 10 in your first couple of attempts Anyway its not as simple as that, the noise grace is only provided for cars with a proven sub 10sec time. That would also put me into pro class which requires things like cage, full race suite, fire system etc etc etc.
