Thorin
Surely this is an error on his banks part though? They should have asked for more security information from the other person than just his address and account number? I know I get asked all sorts of info; DoB, mothers maiden name, etc. etc. plus a password.
Gaz Walker
A little smile here
cheekymonkey
Have you seen a UK direct debit mandate? It doesn't involve speaking to the bank at all. DoB for Clarkson would have been easy to find as well.

Not too setup a direct debit, thats the clever thing For a DD to be setup, you need your name, address, bank address, sort code, account number and name and signature - all of which he's given (except his sig, which can be easily forged) Regards, Gaz. cheekymonkey
(except his sig, which can be easily forged) I've seen DD forms on the Web where you just have to type your own name to confirm your identity
Scoboblio
Clarkson now says of the case: "Contrary to what I said at the time, we must go after the idiots who lost the discs and stick cocktail sticks in their eyes until they beg for mercy." p111ddy
I'm happy with £500 to Diabetes UK:) Lest it's been taken from him for being a complete muppet & he's not going to say to a charity "err can I have my £500 back":D Also what's Pwned??? _Lynz_
Also what's Pwned??? I know this from reading the 3000 posts on that NSX thread. Apparantly there is "owned" but then there is "pure owned" (shortened to "pwned") which basically means they've got you good and proper. Hope that helps (I thought it was a typing error at first!)
