I used to go three times a week 1 hours each time.

Mostly broke down to this

15 minute warm up (running star jumps sit ups ect)

30 minutes of pad work

15 of sparing.

Just remember when u punch the power comes from your leg up to your hip and then swing. Give it a go im sure after a few weeks you will love it.

yep mostly technique but you need a hell of alot of stamina

and what he means is to get ful power potential out of a punch you dont swing your whole arm to get speed,

you use your body to channel the power from you leg to your arm

and then their face :)

Or try Ving Tsun (Wing Chun) Kung Fu...It's rather good.

Won't get you as fit as boxing though! :D

:yeahthat:

go for Kamon wing chun - really aggressive but alot of fun. gets you fitter too. they believe in the "if you get into a fight, make sure you come out of it in a position to walk away" school of thought i.e. make sure the other guy doesnt get up - and believe me, they way they teach you -he wont. i did a month of it (had to stop due to work etc) and i was surprised how much i learnt. definitely be going back to it though. was great :)

Respect Blackie, I did some kickboxing type martial art. It was great, till you get hit. I dont take punches very well and got winded. It sucked. You get fit though. Trick is doing something you can sustain more or less over your life.
