Thinkin of fitting UK spec front and rear on my J spec.Just wondered if there is much of a difference in performance and is it basically a straight forward un bolt of old and bolt on of the UK set up?Are the UK spec discs bigger diameter? Do you have to change the master cylinder as well or dont most people bother?

I believe there is a difference between a UK spec and J-Spec master cylinder.

Maybe someone with better knowledge will correct me, but Im under the impression that if a JSpec came with the brake upgrade (aka UK brakes) from the factory it should have a UK spec master cylinder. If it came with jspec brakes it will have a jspec master cylinder.

If you upgrade to UK spec brakes, I believe its a good idea to match it with a uk spec master cylinder.

EDIT

See JohnA's post regarding the MC here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showpost.php?p=950802&postcount=12

Big improvement in stopping power between the 2.

Another install guide here: http://www.internetwork.org.uk/brakes/brakes.htm

Smaller Spec Discs

Front - 296mm

Rear - 307mm

Larger Spec Disc Size

Front - 323mm

Rear - 324mm

You don't need to change the master cylinder.
