Ian W
to be honest, any are all good mate provided you're in the right place on that island. my preferences would be either Gran Canaria or the north side of Tenerife.

Shadow Beast
Me and Jen last night booked our holiday to Lanzorote for the first week of feb, this will be our 3rd time of going over the last 6 years, it not full of lager louts, is nice for couples, some lovely bars at puerto del carmen. i would throughly recomend it, book our holiday through http://www.flightline.co.uk very good price, and the flights through monarch direct. £556 all in including flights, transfers and parkng at birmingham for a week. were doing self catering to keep the cost down, there is loads of nice places to it out. richie

Pete
I loved Fuerteventura, but that was 10/11 years ago. I know people who have been recently and loved it. Fairly quiet and more of a family destination.

bigcol
we lived in lanzarote and owned a bar up to 2006, its like a ghost town, no-one hardly goes there due to the prices (you can get a last minute deal cheap enough), Puerto del Carmen used to be the best place but its gone really downhill fast because most travel companies are going to Playa Blanca or Costa Teguise as they have recently built them up and made it a nice new "concrete jungle" if you still want to go to the Canaries i would stay well away from Tenerife (north and south) and go to Corellejo (spelt wrong) in Fuertaventura (also spelt wrong) as its cleaner, friendlier, quiet but not like a ghost town and none of the usual "union jack shorts and vomit laden football shirted chav brigade" that you get on the other islands. just off topic if i was looking to go anywhere i would go back to Cuba (7/14 nights all inclusive for the same price as he canaries, ive just booked for May:d) hope this helps, but wherever you go have a nice time:d
bigcol
or you could get a flight to Kos and go stay with C.J :p

Mike M
Coraleco in Fuertaventura is very nice. We went in May last year and both got very burnt on a cloudy day. Got to watch out for all the naked Germans LOL.
Pot
or you could get a flight to Kos and go stay with C.J :p I was going to suggest Kos, went there in 1995, and it was the nicest place I've ever been too, would love to go back there again
Jake
We went to Teneriffe once - never again. What a dump. Also went to Gran Canaria last year, much nicer. My mate has a timeshare out there in a really nice hotel. We had 100% better time there than we did in Teneriffe.

caliAl
I’ve been to the Canary islands a number of times and they all seem the same. I’ve just got back from Malaga today and would recommend mainland Spain over the islands any day. Spent must my days in Marbella, Malaga (city) and Torremolinos. Had a great time with the girlfriend even though it was only 20 degrees in the day time. I would also recommend flightline
andyou
Fuerteventura is the most quiet one the others i think don't differ much deps were you go
ivan
We've done a few of the islands and found Lanzarote to be the best by far. They really take a pride in that place.
steb9780
Hi Jurgen me and Vicky go to Puerto Rico in Gran Canaria a lot. We've been 3 times in the last 5 years. We go there exactly for the reasons you have stated. It's not full of idiots, but there is still enough going on etc. Beatiful place too. We always stay on the hill side/top as it's a bit quieter. There's a commercial centre at the top which is a short walk, and a bigger centre at the bottom which is about a 4 euro taxi ride. I'll dig you a few photo's out. steb9780
Just a few photo's taken from when we walked down the hill to the beach, view from the hotel etc.
steb9780
Just another thought when you stay on top of the hill it's just as close to go to the Amadores beach too. They are still building hotels here, but the beach is beautiful here too. On the last photo you can just make out Mount Teide (Tenerife) in the skyline. CJ
or you could get a flight to Kos and go stay with C.J :p I only have room for one...so if the young lady wants to give me a call...... I was going to suggest Kos, went there in 1995, and it was the nicest place I've ever been too, would love to go back there again I love it out here and would highly recommend Tingaki as a great place for a couples holiday but not in March. The season would not have started then and there are no direct flights. Also, I don't think the weather will be as warm as it is in the Canaries as we don't "heat up" until May.
