RedM
0-60 in 5.5 which, IIRC, is about the same as a stock TT. All from 260bhp too!

bodilx6
Stock TT is ab factory 5.1 to 62. Guess that is 4.6 to 60, so not exectly the same. Also getting to 60 in 5-something gotta be harder with FWD than RWD and then again new electronics help here, but still.

RedM
you forgot the biggest factor in choosing the supra over the focus............. ITS A FORD That would be a vaild point if it weren't for the fact that their cars are bloody good these days. Same with Skoda.

ITS A FORD That would be a vaild point if it weren't for the fact that their cars are bloody good these days. Same with Skoda. It always makes me smile when people make silly comments about Ford and Skoda or similar, as RedM says they make some bloody good cars. Marco
My friend had a ride in one of those and said it could probably outhandle my supra, especially in the wet...

captainchaos
really good cars i drove about in a focus for a few month while my L200 was off the road and im sorry it was a crock of shit and felt extremely cheaply made. Fair enough an american ford i would agree they make good cars but over here in my eyes i will never ever have the urge to spend well earned cash on one. Mike M
Has this one just come out then instead of the 225hp version? Personally I liked the look of the old focus more since it was completely different at time of release compared to all the the other boxes on the road. Now its just another box in a daft colour with an old volvo engine stolen from Audi years ago.
RedM
Has this one just come out then instead of the 225hp version? Yes. It's a stop-gap until the RS version comes out. Now that will be mental. Edit: Nicked fromt TopGear.com Technical details are scant, but the RS seems likely to get four-wheel drive and a twin-turbo version of the ST's 2.5-litre five-pot engine. That should be good for some 300bhp and a 0-60 time in the five-second bracket - genuine competition for the Subaru Impreza STi.
The Raven
Bet it does more than 20mpg too.
Mike M
Yes. It's a stop-gap until the RS version comes out. Now that will be mental. Ahh, my work mate has just put his name down for the RS. I thought he was mad because they havent even announced if its going to be 4wd. Still hes and out and out ford man with a RS200 replica tucked away. MrDriver
I doubt that the RS will have 4WD, I think ford likes it cheap. We'll see.

jaymdee
i drove about in a focus for a few month ... and im sorry it was a crock of shit and felt extremely cheaply made. Totally agree. I get them all the time as hire cars for work and they are truely crap. Cannot understand the accolades for handling as you never know whether the thing's going to roll when you go round roundabouts!! Hate them with a passion!! dangerous brain
Hmm posting the two worst colour cars from each brand is naughty That focus with warranty is a consideration but the resale is going to be way worse than even supra's right now. I've had two fords and two vauxhalls and I would take the ford any day of any week over the vauxhall.
