bigcol
Well after getting nothing but grief at work and put on the "crap job of the day" rota (for loosing my licence, that i didnt need for work anyway) and having suffered having to work a 7 day on (12 hour shifts) 2 day off mindnumbing brainache (probably illeagle) i finally cracked today when my area supervisor (who has been with the company 3 weeks and the ink isnt even dry on his russion work permit yet) came to work today and began to really slag me off and get right on my t*ts for no reason except he had to do 4 hrs on my last shift because i needed a tooth pulled, he then began slagging off mrs col, now im the only one allowed to do that:d:d and THEN started telling me what he would like to do to her, then tried to punch me, unfortunately i lost my cool and gave him a friendly tap to the nose that seemed to annoy him (i thought a broken nose suited him to be honest), fearing for my safety :innocent: i felt the only way of restraining him was to put his head through the drivers door window, this seemed to do the trick and he seemed quite subdued. i then took it upon myself to inform the head office of my misdemeanors, and being the nice guy that i am, removed his head from the shattered glass so he wouldnt cut himself (see i am thoughtfull), the office have now said that he (the area supervisor) would never have said these things too me etc etc and im lucky he hasnt pressed charges, i am supposed to go for a disciplinary hearing but to be honest i dont see much point as obviously i was in the wrong!!!!!!! so i resigned with my dignity and pride still intact (cant wait till he opens the glove box, all that adrenilin really gets the bowels working overtime:d i jest you not ) anyone give me a job:d:d:d:d:d im never violent but sometimes when pushed its sooo easy to lose it and the red mist appears so glad i have a part time job that pays me enough to get by on:d

Ark
If you'd kept your cool you could have walked away from the situation with both a job and a nice big harassment payout. As it is, I wouldn't touch you with a barge pole as far as new jobs are concerned.
Gaz Walker
the ink isnt even dry on his russion work permit yet gave him a friendly tap to the nose that seemed to annoy him (i thought a broken nose suited him to be honest), fearing for my safety :innocent: i felt the only way of restraining him was to put his head through the drivers door window Sorry that had me laughing out loud. Sorry I can't help on the job front, but good luck with the next one Gaz.
Sandy-m2
I understand where you are coming from mate - i had a similar problem with a tenant of my mums and he went through a stairwell door window.(I am also not a violent person but there is a line) No charges = you dont have to tell employers but keep your nose clean:d
JustGav
While there is no excuse for your reaction, I'd go to the hearing and make sure they hear the otherside as well. Might not do you any good, but take some legal representation as well. The comments re family are out of order and would have attributed but not excused your actions. gaz1
would love to hear his side of the story, not disbeleiving you just find it hard a guy in a supervisory position would antagonize you like that, especialy bringing your missus into the equasion, i have had my fair share of violent employees, having a go at me, but because they have a problem with hard work and rules, but i would not even swear back, but defend myself i would, just hope he does not have a change of heart and involves the police:)

bigcol
no way:blink: i really dont want to go into details to be honest but, given the fact my arse would struggle to fit in a glove box, i mearly conveyed the offending article wrapped on a soft bed of andrex and gently placed it into the compartment, where, i hope he thinks its his pack lunch:d
