kieren1234
Well.........?? Sorry folks, not what you are thinking. On a Screamer pipe that connects to a wastegate, does the length of the pipe matter?? What are the pros/cons of having it longer rather than say 3 inches or so if any?? Thanks in advance. No sarcy comments please :d:d:d:d:d

michael
If you want to demand answers within 30 minutes I'd suggest you opt for the ultra-premium membership option, £500 a month. Anyway it doesn't really matter, the pipe just gets longer which means it's easier to route it somewhere sensible, the same stuff comes out of the end and as there is no restriction there shouldn't be any concerns really. I guess it's a longer chunk of metal to retain a bit of heat in the bay but beyond that I can't see any cause for concern.

Alex
The pipe should be long enough to vent under the car without any hot exhaust gases coming into contact with the body/suspension etc. Most screamer pipes exit flush with the bottom of the car to achieve this. Diameter needs to be no more than the diameter of the wastegate valve itself.
kieren1234
Oops. The screamer pipe seems to be pointing towards a part of the chassis........ I had to cut it as it did not fit otherwise. The diameter is fine.
