Chiefgroover
Guitar, have 7 i think? been at it 29 years, did various bands, but these days its a stand in when someone is sick or one off charity gigs which I like as we get doing the Thin Lizzy/Thunder/Free/Bad Co/Queen stuff. I dont play enough these days to be anywhere near my best, but its still the main hobby in front of the Supra.

juanchan
Wow. I feel a tad untalented by my lack of musical instrument abilities! I've always wanted to be able to play piano, sax and guitar though. Particularly the sax, but Guitar Hero 3 over Christmas has swayed me in that direction at the moment

Lukeyboy2k
I got to grade 7 piano and grade 5 violin. I probably could've been quite good had I applied myself, but never enjoyed either of them at the time - I probably played them for less than an hour per week each! It didn't seem cool to be able to play a musical instrument when I was growing up, things seem to have changed (or maybe I'm just becoming an old f@rt). Rob
I recently found an old cassette of band (duo) I played keyboards in when I was 15 years old, back in the mid-80's. We were very experimental and lets just say my ambition exceeded my talent by some degree.
Lbm
I write my songs on a Yamaha electro-acoutic guitar and I've got a couple of Fender Jazz Basses I do all my gigs with- I'm quite good with a set of spoons too
Charlotte
I recently found an old cassette of band (duo) I played keyboards in when I was 15 years old, back in the mid-80's. We were very experimental and lets just say my ambition exceeded my talent by some degree. Ahhhh. How sweet. Who was the other half of the duo? We used to do tapes too. But radio shows mainly, only a bit of playing sometimes.
CJ
Buggernuts! I went to the (only) music shop in Kos Town and they didn't have any reeds. They have to order them in and will have them next week. At least the neighbours get to have another week of peace
Guest jonnykool
I play guitar, not too well, but am learning music theory. Hoping to be able to sight read eventually. But I sing, and have done gigs in clubs etc
Guest dangerousandy
I got up to grade 7 on the tenor trombone (Guildhall school of music) and although I haven't done any grades on the Guitar/Bass - I am excellent on them both!! even if i say so myself!! I have spent years practicing so I can sound like hank marvin and mark knopfler!! I have a Hank Marvin Stratocaster (along with three other Strats, a telecaster, Gibson les paul and a fender p-bass!!) and a Vox amplifier, (not an AC30 though!!) .........anyone wanna start a band???? Rob
Ahhhh. How sweet. Who was the other half of the duo? We used to do tapes too. But radio shows mainly, only a bit of playing sometimes. A mate from school, his dad was an show-biz agent so he had "connections." We did some recordings in de Wolf studios and made a demo tape, but when I saw the tape he was bandying about, our band name was not on it, but just his name was, as a solo artist, and the amateur photoshoot we had done had had my picture removed. We spilt up. After 23 years I'm not bitter about it.

chilli
I have played the guitar before but when I get time I actually write music - of the electronic variety so the guitar doesn't really fit in so much - so I've not played one for ages. I can play the keyboard (but I don't play other peoples music). Now I'm learning the drums, been learning for just over a year - absolutely love it - got a nice electronic v-drums kit and it works perfectly for the types of music I'm most interested in
