Nic
When I eventually get round to sorting the bodywork out on my car I've decided to stick with silver, but I'd like a bright metallic silver, similar to that used on many of the current concept cars. I'm wanting a metallic finish, but not too glossy, almost like a brushed aluminium effect. Just wondering if there are any cars on the market already that use similar paint? Here are a couple of examples of the type of paint finish I mean. http://automotiveaddicts.com/blog/uploaded_images/Concept_Lexus_LFA-714595.jpg http://www.traraba.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/04/bmw_concept_cs.jpg
JohnnyW
Certainly would be living up to your pimp name if you got that done If it's done right with the right kit and wheels etc that could look amazing! Go for it!

AJI
What exactly is that paint finish ? is it a silver base with a fine silver flake metallic added? the top one doesn't look very high gloss either... more of a slight matt/satin finish. Looks good whatever it is. Catches the light a treat !
colsoop
The first one does look slightly matt a sort of brushed ally effect. perhaps you could get the bodyshop to create an effect for you, maybe add some additives to the clear coat to make it unique. This company does some blingy paints and additives, the ice chrome looks like a similar match to the LFA: http://www.chromepaint.com/product/ice_chrome/
Nic
I don't really want blingy, just something subtle, I'd rather go for a standard car colour to make life easier if it ever had to be touched up. The closest I have found is the silver used on the 350Z, one was parked next to me the other week and it was quite a bit brighter than the silver of my Supra.
