jaymdee
My Xbox360 plugs into a network socket on the back of my PC and I connect the PC to the Internet and then turn the Xbox360 on and it connects to Xbox Live. Took a lot of buggering about with DNS servers to get it to work though You will need to use Broadband. Mine runs at 1Mb and playing online is difficult as it couldn't download quick enough
CardiffSupra
Yeah you can use the network cable if you want, It's alot easyer to set up but then you will have to run a cable through the floor.
dazla
I've been told today that i need the wireless adaptor for the xbox and i will also need a wireless router to plug into my modem. Is this right, i dont wanna buy a load of gear which i dont need:d
jaymdee
I believe the router plugs directly into the broadband phone socket. You then connect computers, Xbox etc using ethernet cables or wireless. What modem are you talking about? Routers are a modem (for broadband) I don't have a router or wireless adapter and my Xbox is connected, so whoever told you that is probably trying to sell you stuff
