RedM
Contraversial type of car, Japanese, association with Gran Tourismo and IT geeks, halo of chav culture. The official EU cars come over in April 2009 which will compound a grey owners problems after already going through 14 months of financial instability & credit is getting harder to obtain. Don't I feel a plum! You meant grey imports not GTRs with grey bodywork.
n boost
My mate has lost nearly 12k on his r34 gtr in this last year. He paid nearly 38k from middlehurst and now similiar examples can be had for around 26-28k......Ouch! What's worst is he has not even driven it in this last year as he has been upgrading most parts, so has spent another 8k. I lost quite a bit on my supra about 11k but that was over the 3 yrs i had it and enjoyed it. Had to count my losses as market seems to be getting worst and was worried about loosing even more money with time. Most people i know are going for newer cars as myself. Pabs
Most people i know are going for newer cars as myself. buying newer cars does not solve the problem - they'll depreciate just as much as the older ones, if not more. IMO you lose a LOT more money on new cars as it is usually in the first 3 years you see the worst of the depreciation.

I mean u can get an e46 m3 for around 15-20k depending on spec etc. Most supras are now over 13-15 yrs old and a lot of people are not paying 12-15k for these as there is alot on offer in the current market for that price range. dangerous brain
Hmm I dunno. Lately the heavier drinkers have taken a real blast especially heavily modded cars. Mine I'd be surprised if it would fetch half of what I paid for it a year ago. It was 15 years old already when I bought it so another year should make cock all difference using that logic but this last year has been very hard on the performance car market. I have to say, I was absolutely shocked at the value your Aerotop plummeted to, I can't imagine even in percentage terms that Supras would loose that again unless we have an economic meltdown, and by then I doubt any of us would care as we'd have bigger things to worry about.
