Sheefa
I sold mine at a pretty good time and was lucky with the amount I got for her, even if I spent a shed load over that year. Great time for re-entry into the Supe market....sometime.......this year.
Carl_S
Very true! I bought a Primera when I was 22. £15K brand new, picked it up at 11 months old 10k miles for £10k. Had it 3 years and sold it for £3k to a dealer as I couldn't sell it privately....... The dealer then flogged it to someone for £4600.....WTF? My depreciation worked out at £194 a month..... On top of the £145 a month on a 4k loan I'd taken out for it!! H. mm primera. actually i think some versions look very sporty. probably i see a hint of "skyline" in its curves. dealers can always flog for more. but thats some pretty steep depretiation. SteveR
Prices always drop in winter and so far, touch wood, have always recovered most of that drop once the weather warms up a touch.
n boost
Prices always drop in winter and so far, touch wood, have always recovered most of that drop once the weather warms up a touch. I agree mate, but we have not had a northen rock/credit crunch/stupid fuel price issues on this scale before and it just seems to be getting worst. It is a buyers market and some how can't see prices going up.
RobSheffield
Thing is 'RedM', yours has been looked after and treated to CW looking after it, only decent and well proven additions, not yet BPUd, it all points to a nice motor. Sadly with some of the chavved up clueless numpties on the forum these days all that will mean nothing!
CJ
I still gladly handed over 12k for my 1995 supra two months ago. Surely it depends on the mods and how much has been spent on the car to make it look good, and go faster. Aw bless. Don't you just love naivety in humans

I'm not too sure I'd agree there Steve. I have seen the prices decline considerably over the last few years and not seen any evidence of them increasing back to a good level after the winter period. Chiefgroover
All those tatty examples, expecially the messed up body kit ones have destroyed the image. Maybe we can all get together and cleanse them with Bo Peep.

dangerous brain
Its not just us though is it. Its pretty much all high powered gas guzzling expensive to run motors. Go look at some AMG mercs, you'll get them for pennies. Anything with 3 litres in the engine size is going to be cheap as chips to buy now. Gazboy
Recession is on the horizon (My New Years resolution was NOT to be less pessimistic by the way....) House prices are falling, too, time to pull in your horns and ride it out. Where's PaulE now eh? Back in August he said I was talking out of my arse over the economy. Sadly with some of the chavved up clueless numpties on the forum these days all that will mean nothing! All those tatty examples, expecially the messed up body kit ones have destroyed the image. Maybe we can all get together and cleanse them with Bo Peep. Both bang on the money, Supras have a dire image right now and is as chav as an Impreza. Thank the fancy dress shop brigade for that. Its not just us though is it. Its pretty much all high powered gas guzzling expensive to run motors. Go look at some AMG mercs, you'll get them for pennies. Anything with 3 litres in the engine size is going to be cheap as chips to buy now. This certainly puts it in perspective, even 993 owners are worried and they were rising in value until August! Top end/premium cars are absolutely hemoriging money, even the cars that fared better than most so we are all in the same boat. There are threads on PH about this, except they are talking about losing big five figure sums. As an aside, I think anyone who has just bought a grey Nissan GTR is going to be in for a very nasty bite.

Gazboy
Why grey Nissan GTRs in particular? Contraversial type of car, Japanese, association with Gran Tourismo and IT geeks, halo of chav culture. The official EU cars come over in April 2009 which will compound a grey owners problems after already going through 14 months of financial instability & credit is getting harder to obtain.
