I still felt ill (not hungover) from NYE when i went back today - thats poor :(

I feel shattered now, apparently they want me to go in again tomorrow, and keep going in from now til next year :(

I'm struggling to adjust to normal working holidays after my 4 years as a student. I'd do anything for 3 straight months off every summer again! So long as they keep topping my bank account up, I guess I can't complain though.

What time does everyone start work? I'm finding 8am starts as early as I could possibly want/manage at the moment.

I used to work at a college, so i had summer and christmas and easter etc off, and worked 9-3

I know do 8-4 and its a little bit early :(

I do kind of like being home and in the house at 4:45 most nights, but its not like i have much to come home to - im hoping i start to feel more positive soon, maybe in the spring or summer when the car is done.

Same here. I finish at 4.30 so I'm usually home by 5 (and before rush hour!), but all I have to come home to is my PS2, you lot and another pathetic attempt at cooking a half decent meal!

I used to work at a place where the kids came for their school trips. So whenever schools was off so was I. Very handy when the kids was younger but I couldn't get away with it now. 8am-4pm for me too, home by about 4.15 ish.

I think going to bed at midnight or later doesn't help me either :)

It's what I am guilty off too, never in Bed before 11.45ish

So Mondays are ok and Tuesday then I start flagging in the mornings and come Friday I need the weekend to catch up. God, who said being an old fart was going to be fun lol.

I usually think at about 10 "I should go to bed now" and it just never seems to happen before 12

One lad at my work has a theory that Tuesday is the worst day of the week. Monday, you're still on a bit of a high from the weekend's shenanigans and so don't mind being at work, but by Tuesday it hits home that there's still 3 days to go after today.

I have half day Fridays, which helps soooo much at the end of the week.

Everybody at my place of work me included says the same. Tuesday is the worst day of the week. As you say Monday you still happy and Mondays tend to go quick. Tuesdays you realise this is realy happening and you have another 4 days to do.

Wednesdays are normaly a blurr and come Thursday your normaly cheering up as weekend is coming lol.

Nite nite all

xx

Wow Rob, you ever thought of changing jobs?

I went back today, it was surprisingly nice.

What do you do?

I'm wandering if there are jobs out there that people really enjoy and don't just live for the weekend.
