jaymdee
I said the same this time last year and, bar the times I'm working away, I've managed to keep going at least 2 times a week, sometimes 4 or 5. Have been 5 times over the Xmas period too, so only put on 1/2 stone

turbonut
surveys show that two thirds of people give up within the first 3 months but keep paying their gym membership. gyms love it. another sucker. I'd save your money if I were you or put it towards something you know you will use/do etc L

jim_supra
I won't be joining a gym, I will be trying to get myself in to shape though. I have an exercise bike and a weights bench at home so I really should make some use of them again!
colsoop
Just got back from the gym and it was empty, although i saw a few new faces. It was hard work i sweated out a few mince pies today
Shadow Beast
i was going to join a gym but to be honest you can do a lot of the exercises in your own home, pop to argos and get an exercise mat, then from there pop to WHSmith's and get this months copy of mens health and in there is enough routines that you can pick and choose which ones suit you. Press ups can be done in the lounge as well as sit ups, i have a pull up bar in the garage or you can put it outside. one of those stepper machines can be brought few about 20 quid now and they are good for cardio. and if you want, a set of dumbells for just a bit of viarity! you could even do the stepper in front of the tele watching the soaps so not to miss any, mind you 30 mins on one of them your going to feel it!!!!! Hope this helps it what i am going to do this year to keep the weight off. Richie

My exercise bike is in view of the telly so it's not as boring when i'm cycling, just stick a film on or a good documentary and go:)
suprafan72
To be honest i joined a good while ago and love it, go there 5 times a week now after work and never looked back.. If you join keep going as you will reep the benefits in admiring looks and most important you will feel better about youself.. But make sure you keep at it

Lots of ways to get fit other than gym. I love (well sort of) my gym, and I'm training to be a fitness instructor this month:)
