Sheefa
OK, so here I am after one hell of a NYE. I always said they were a let down, but this years was simply top notch. The Que Club in Brum was brilliant, Seb Fontaine and Pete Tong were on form, all the lads had a great night and all in all well worth remembering. Got a brilliant pic of the boys with Pete Tong too. Made my night. Didn't get through the front door until 8am so feeling most jaded right now. Anyway, as I sit hee suffering from one hell of a hangover, I ask myself what to do about it and what proactive action I can take in the future. The Maccy D's I just had hasn't helped one bit. I've also been for a sauna, steam and jacuzzi down the gym and that hasn't helped much. Copious amounts of water have done no good neither. I've heard of a good tip which is to mix a sachet of Boots Rehydrate or something glucose drink before you go out and have it on standby for the drunken return, neck it then off to bed. Apparently it replenishes the glucose in your system and thus doesn't make you feel as bad in the morning. Sadly I'm forgetful so haven't tried this yet. Anyone else?? Any other tips appreciated. Hope everyone had a good one and Happy New Year and all the best for 2008 ladies and gentlemen. Greg WARNING: I learnt a very important lesson last night. Not to eat 4-5 Pepparami Firesticks after a nights drinking no matter how pissed you are. I've been to the toilet 4 times already to day and holy big jesus my ringpiece feels like it's on fire. You've been warned.

hiten55
ok, believe it or not, best cure is an ice pole - a callipo or something like that. cant remember the exact medical reason for it, but i work in a hospital and the guys that do the post mortems told me - after i wondered why they were buying so many first thing in the morning also a fry up with high salt content is good. the salt absorbs all the alcahol. let me know if you try the ice pole thing cos i've never tried it. but these guys know their stuff when it comes to the human body so i wouldnt doubt em... hogmaw
It's all about rehydration. Drink more! (water) Also fructose rather than glucose (ie honey)

miko_supra
i read in fhm a while ago that a good trick is to try and get your blood circulating and get oxygen to the brain. so some light exercise is a worthwhile idea

keancy
Oh my god.... move. How do you cope without the golden arches?? I bet your really ready for it by the time you get there though. Well I get McD. once a Year if I am lucky. Last year I had two Yippeeee. Once when I had to Collect my Son from Collage cause he was ill (St.Austell) and then when we bought our Supra in Plymouth. But with these planned road trips this year we may get to see more. But I wouldn't move just so I could eat junk more often Hunny. Nor would you want to if you saw where I lived. juanchan
Drinking water helps relieve the hangover issues. A couple of pints before you pass out (always hard to remember to drink them though!), then whenever you wake up, down another pint and keep doing so. Also, Sainsburys sell some painkillers that contain paracetamol, aspirin and caffeine. Within half an hour of taking two of those, any headaches/stomach cramps are gone Followed by a bacon and egg sandwich, all will soon be right with the world again, although it may be gone 2pm by then! ivan
So are you saying that an ice lolly is good for a sore ringpiece after a few pepperami firesticks the night before? The mind boggles.
