Chris Wilson
The probe is long to allow just the right amount to poke into the port. It MUST go before the turbos, utterly useless after them. i made up extended drills and extended taps to do this. I can fit the probe for 60 quid if you chicken out. While you wait :-)

JohnK
A little off topic, but if you are drilling the manifold before the turbos, in place on the car, how do you stop the swarf getting into the manifold and into the turbos?

Ian C
I've also found that those extendable magnetic grabber things pick up swarf something great. But Chris's bit of kit sounds much sexier. -Ian
Nic
Mine was tapped into the small Y-section pipe next to the O2 sensor, is this before or after the turbos as I'm getting lower than expected readings (between 4-600degrees) cheers Nic
Guest Martin F
That's after the turbo's.
