Pig
You can pick up a electronic boost controller for very little money. Would suggest fitting one of these rather than a manual as they are known to boost spike

AndyT
Andy Perhaps if you read threads before you 'advise' people The lad is asking about MBCs not boost controllers Iknow I'm still looking for him. Just piquing the interest. To validate that, Homer's rather good BPU thread does give reasons why not to use manual boost controllers. colsoop
I used one in the past for a rolling road day and it worked ok but i would advise having a boost gauge fitted first to keep an eye on boost !

gaz1
why would you want a boost controller with a jspec when a restrictor ring will do the job

Sheefa
i understand that but for the extra £200-250 i would not go that way seems a lot for the same as your right foot will do:) Bit of future proofing to Gaz if you go to Hybrids. I have had a 1bar ring with my Supe, on hybrids, and a Blitz SBC and it was very handy to up the boost when needed but keep it at a 'safer' lower level for normal driving routine. That might be why I got in loads of debt and had to sell the car though - because I bought things I didn't really need!
