mwilkinson
Sorry to drag this up again. I have had a quick search and read many articles but still need some advice. I am about to fit a Greddy 2 row to my J-Spec Manual TT (not facelift). The kit comes with a new PAS cooling system, but from what I have read this is crap. The car will eventually be bpu, and I have not ruled out going single. Therefore my question is, should I fit an aftermarket PAS oil cooler. I don't really intend on racing the car, although again I am into future-proofing the car as I can't rule out not wanting to have a play on a track in the future. If I do instal one, where should I put it and what cooler should I get? Is there a kit? I have heard the Mocal ones are meant to be good? While I am not a mechanical biff, I am a novice, so keep it simple guys .
colsoop
I never had problems with ps cooling when i had my front mount on. But i never tracked it with that set up. You can buy a cooler like this http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=93128 Make some brackets and fit it in the passenger side bumper opening (assuming stock bumper)
mwilkinson
Cheers, In all likelihood from what I have read day to day driving should not raise an issue. I just don't want to get caught out and end up destroying my PAS pump or steering rack from overheated fluid in the future.
DamanC
My greddy PAS cooler seems fine.
