Chewie
Just read this. What was the father thinking? A seven-year-old girl has died after the quad bike she was riding behind a car driven by her father was in a head-on collision with a Range Rover. Elizabeth Cooke and her brother Jack, 10, had been given quadbikes for Christmas. They were riding near the family home in Blackmore, Essex, at about 7pm on Boxing Day, police said. The children were riding down a narrow country lane behind a car driven by their father Gary, 46, when Elizabeth's machine was in collision with the Range Rover, which was travelling in the opposite direction. AndyT
Heard on the news that they arrested the woman driving the range rover for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. But still what was the dad thinking! Got released no charges. Lane couldn't take two Range Rovers without one pulling off. Dad must have pulled over. supra61
What was going though the fathers head allowing a child on the road at night on a bloody quad bike??
far
this is madness - I am lost for words how a 47 year old father could allow his two kids convoy behind him albeit on a 1/2 mile country stretch. It was at 7pm too so it must have been dark. I'm not sure whether to be sympathetic or label the guy an idiot - I guess both.
far
......just read about the woman, she was under the influence and looking at the pictures on the BBC website she must have swerved into the little one or the kid pulled out on her, either way you look at it its one big fcuk up on behalf of both adults involved
