Clutch pedel problems

Typical! Just about to set off to the old mans for the family xmas bash and car goes dead!

My clutch pedel dosnt want to come back up after pressing it down. It kinda gets half way then stops and I then have to use my toes to flick it back up so I can get full drive. Any ideas would be really helpful I am guessing its not going to be a 5min fix.

more than likely your seals in the slave cylinder and/or the master cylinder are worn.

This can happen especially if you run a heavier aftermarket clutch.( I've had 2 slave cylinders in 3 1/2 years)

the symptoms are exactly the same as I had and it will get to the stage where the pedal will stay on the floor & you have no clutch at all

you will need to replace the slave cylinder, & master cylinder to completely remove the problem. I relaced both & all is fine.

I had Mark at Phoenix do it all.

Relaced the whole lot master cylinder, slave cylinder & clutch pedal(because the pushrod was worn and is comes as a complete unit)

I think the parts were around £180

Bu I have been running a rsp street max for the last 4 years & it puts more strain on the pedal & clutch components

Im having issues myself with my slave cyl or master cyl. My clutch pedal wont return on its own sometimes, or its hard to put it in gear with the clutch pedal down . Not sure if its the slave cyl. or master cyl. I would like to order both , but my problem is my car is JDM spec , and I'm in Canada.

Same as your domestic spec dude.

There's a nut on the back of the clutch pedal which adjusts it's position. If this has become unwound it exhibits the symptoms you're having. It should be adjusted so that it gives you a sensible bite point (this will also resolve the pedal not coming up), be careful not to go too far though because you can end up pre-loading the clutch which will wear out the release bearing.
