saboteur
Sounds like squirrels are getting sucked into the intake when changing gear! Anyone elses supra sound like that? Is it the BOV or something else?
Suprash
This is an external wastegate sound I believe, something you only get with single turbo's as their wastegate is external, on the stuck turbos the wastegate feeds back internally into the exhaust pipe if I remember rightly....... RobSheffield
Its not the wastegate you hear, only the sound of compressor stall And shame on you, save the squirrels

saboteur
What if you're on stock TT's? How does one acquire this noise? It's something to do with the turbo's blades stopping spinning? So if BPU is added then the noise is more likely to occur?

Tricky-Ricky
I have HKS BOV and mine does it, i wouldn't panic to much over this, yes it is stall but lots of turbo cars have no BOV at all as std,you won't hear it because the intake system damps out the sound, and they don;t exactly kill turbos on a regular basis, the time to really worry is when your running high boost on large turbo, ie 30psi, large volumes of moving air and inadequate BOV It has been argued in the past that its better to have no BOV on certain set ups.
