Broken into earlier in the week

Feel absolutwely terrible for my brother. He's a Tree Surgeon and is self employed but sub-contracts for a local Tree Surgery Company.

Our house wasn't broken into, but we have an outhouse attached to our property with two locked solid wooden doors (normal key lock and deadlocked). At some point last Saturday, somewhere between 9pm - 7am Sunday morn, someone decided to take a crowbar to the door. They managed to prize the entire door off and split the wooden beams around the door frame.

They stole 7 Stihl Chainsaws, 4 Hedgetrimmers, 2 Blowers, my brothers climbing gear including Fly ropes, Carribenas and Spikes and even his fuel. Around about £4,000 worth of stuff and just before Christmas.

He's absolutely gutted. We think it might be these gypsies that often turn up at the Work Yard where my brother works and they've done that place over a couple of times. They must of been watching who comes and goes and followed him home at some point. There's no other way anyone would know he had all that gear in there even with a plain tipper on the drive. They knew what they were doing.

Sadly the insurance won't cover it either as it's not classed as a burglary but a BOB? or something and only have house contents cover, not workmans tools. What a horrid run up to the big Xmas. :(
