Sparky
As the title says. It seems to happen a second or so after i completely remove my foot from the accelerator. I get a small metalic knock. Its also very random and doesnt always happen. Any ideas so i can buy bits to fix?

Guest PlacentaJuan
i get this same problem, a chattering on de-celleration. i have a 2jzgte in a mx83 toyota cressida sedan and im pretty sure it has nothing to do with the car, the noise seems to come from around the no2 turbo exhaust actuator area. the actuator and butterfly seems tights when the engine is off, also i will replace broken gaskets around the cat and exhaust, but if anyone knows what this noise definately is i would be very interested. miko_supra
have a good look under the car yourself, check all the major fixings (engine mounts, gearbox cross member, subframe) wouldn't hurt and then take it to a friendly garage to get it up on the ramps- this would be my course of action.. Angarak
I had it on my previous car @ 60mph on a dual carriageway. I had 2 new front tyres put on the day before, and the tyre monkey never tightened one of them up properly!

bignum
Is the knock coming from front or back?
Sparky
It sounds just wear i would push my foot when pushing the clutch pedal down. Im going to have the clutch taken out and check all the bearings over. Flywheel will be looked at as well. Hopefully something will pop up then!
