1 book, 1 film, 1 album, 1 meal

Good call. It seems to have been almost totally forgotten in recent times.

Nice to see someone recognise it. Vast scope and imagination, originally sat on my fathers book shelves, alongside the Gormenghast trilogy. The interest rubbed off. I love the Beatles and Bruch for similar reasons.

Likewise. In fact, apart from yourself, I've only ever come across one other person who has read it. It's been 20 years or more since I read it, but it did leave an impression on me. I enjoyed the Gormenghast books, too - your Dad must like his gothic novels.

Yes, he did. Science fiction too. I have them all now, never seem to get the time these days.

Last Book: Melmoth The Wanderer, by Charles Maturin.

Last Album: Dark Side Of The Moon, by Pink Floyd

Last Film: BladeRunner

Last Meal: Smoked salmon to start. Fillet steak, Madeira and stilton sauce, topped with bacon and langoustines. Mushrooms, roast potato wedges and black pudding on the side. Treacle sponge and custard to finish.

I'd probably end it all by intravenous Marmite.

Good call!

Last Book : Birdsong by Sabastien Faulks

Last Album : as above

Last Film : as above

Last Meal : Pan fried scallops, with 12 oysters. Oysters make my guts try to escape from inside me so I can never eat them again, but if I'm going to die straight after it doesn't matter
