jim_supra
Tough one, I'm fairly indescisive so my choices will be likely to change but for now they are; Book: Fingerprints of the Gods by Graham Hancock - I tend to lose interest in books quite quickly but this book I couldn't put down. Album: At the minute it would be ''This is My Truth Tell Me Yours'' by the Manic Street Preachers. Film: The Shawshank Redemption. There are loads more films I like equally but as we can pick just one that's it. Meal: My Mums Sunday Roast, Nothing beats it. I'm sure she thinks that's the only reason I go to see her. tbourner
No idea about book or film, there are loads of books I want to read, and loads of films I love! Album would probably be Avril's latest, she's the only artist that I like every single song of! Meal would probably be a mixed grill, I love Chinese more but we have them quite often. Tannhauser
Interesting thread. If death was nearing, I want something that made me feel it had all been for something. 1. The choice of book is the hardest. Proust's A la recherche du temps perdu I guess. I only got to p70 last time around and I'd hate to die knowing that I'd never finished it and would be buried as a confirmed lightweight. Other than that, probably T.H. White's The Once and Future King. 2. Film: Singin' in the Rain. Easy. 3. Music. Something classical, probably. Probably the third act from Die Walkure, George Solti conducting (which is in my funeral arrangements anyway, followed by 'Shaddap Your Face' by Joe Dolce) 4. Huge roast dinner. No contest. Last Album: Dark Side Of The Moon, by Pink Floyd Last Film: BladeRunner Last Meal: Smoked salmon to start. Fillet steak, Madeira and stilton sauce, topped with bacon and langoustines. Mushrooms, roast potato wedges and black pudding on the side. Treacle sponge and custard to finish. I'd probably end it all by intravenous Marmite.
