rpslaughter1982
My exhaust currently has no flex in it. It is solid from the turbo to the backbox. I have a Nur Spec which obviously has no flex and the de-cat and turbo downpipe are the same. What do people do about this? I have a flex joint which can be welded in but what is the best position or is it neccessary? many thanks Rich
uk-rich
make sure you have the gear box mount bracket on your gear box, to end of down pipe, this should limit/rule out any flex in the manifold. the rest of the system is on rubber hangers
dandan
It's a good idea to have a flex - not least if someone bumps into you from behind.

Has anyone actually fitted a flex pipe to their exhuast?
Soonto_HAS_soop
I had one welded into my old car when I went single, I had it in the downpipe about 1 1/2 foot from the turbo. I thought it would be a good idea as I didn't want the entire system relying on the exhaust rubbers for movement and flexibility.
