Mike M Posted January 1, 2008 Share Posted January 1, 2008 I think if it you can make it backfire by flooring it then suddenly lifting off its more likely to be an exhaust leak as its sucking in air. I know that Porsche 911's and aircooled Vdubs suffer this from the slightest exhaust leak causing a popping burbling on the overrun and the odd bang mixed in.
