Do your neighbours use your bin?

Well I don't think it's that bad,Michael. Funny you cought her doing it tho lolol.

While the rubish is still being picked up without the weight charge and your bin isn't full it wouldn't bother me. Would be a different story if she dumped her rubish next to your bin making it look as if you had done it lol.

On saying that. We have in the past forgotten to put our bins out and run out of room so I went and "asked" my neighbours if I could dump some in their bin. Would have been the polite thing to do.

;)

Merry Christmas to you :)

I remember that one :)

I wish I could forget :D

The police currently have my tape of the three youths that stabbed the girlfriends tyre on Friday night/Saturday morning. Wasn't going to give them a copy, until I heard it was in the paper and that they did 40 cars that night in two roads!

Thing is though I dropped it off on Moday night and the woman on the desk said PC somebody would give me a call the next day, still haven't heard anything :search:

Are we only allowed one wheelie bin per house in the UK?

I just "happen to have" another bin that I "found" in the "street" one "day."

I seen them for sale of council websites which leads me to think if someone buys an extra biin is there any reason why the binmen won't empty it?

And another early this morning - dog poo bag I presume judging by the fact he's walking a dog in the vid, cheers :)

I think I'll put one of my "CCTV in operation" stickers on the bin :search:

So not a one off. Taking the mick that. Your suggestion's very neighbourly though..:)

Surely sitting inside the bin and waiting is the key to this. As the lid opens shout "WHAYAF*CKINDOIN...?? at the top of your voice!

Watch them kack themselves!:D

AFAIK the moment you move that bin out onto the public highway (the path is part of that) it becomes council property and responsibility for so many hours before and after the collection time (this is down to compensation claims for bins causing damage to property ie being blown into cars etc). As such your neighbour is doing nothing wrong as long as that bin is on the street within so many hours of the bin collection as that bin is effectively the responsibility of the local authority.

I personally think it would be a very good idea to start trying to do something about the amount of waste we produce. I'll put it in perspective when I am here in my house on my own I rarely fill more than 1 tesco's bag of non-recycleable waste. My mrs is in the house for a week and the 150 litre bin is brimming. Not great when our bins are only emptied once every two weeks. Fly tipping could become a problem if you halve the collection rate.

I'm no greeny but it really is not necessary to have so much packaging on food and general items you buy (I'd say 75% of trash is packaging) and food waste in my household when my mrs is about is f*ck*ng criminal. I reckon we throw out nearly 3-5kg of food waste a day (another thing that really angers me as there are so many people in the world starving).

Any way back on topic, as long as you aren't being charged for it and it doesn't bother you as a person that they make more waste than they should, and its in the public area, and it isn't defiling your bin so you find using it not nice then it really is a storm in a teacup and not worth you being bothered enough to post it (that said its an interesting post and worth a bit of discussion and maybe even open a few eyes to how much cr*p we do throw away daily)

Crikey, if I have to be bothered about something in order to post here I might as well cancel my membership now. I see no harm in a bit of trivial muttering over something that amuses me.

LOL, my earlier reply does seem a little defensive now that I've read it back, my tongue is firmly in my cheek and shall remain there ;)

Its a subject close to my heart I am afraid. I applaud you for being one of the few that doesn't actually fill his bin. I actually cannot believe that I the small DB possibly got a bite from the mighty Michael :D
