michael
It seems mine do. CCTV just caught the woman from next door but one putting a 3 tray plastic drawer thing into my wheelie bin. It's bin day tomorrow so they are out at the bottom of the drive. Should this annoy me? Their lid seems to be struggling to close, my bin is half empty. Do I take it out and throw it in their garden or be a good neighbour and share my empty bin?

I might mention it the next time she takes the mickey out of me for washing cars in the rain The camera is the same as the one I'm selling here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=133549 Although as nobody is buying I think I might expand my coverage with it and be super nosey It's making me a bit paranoid though, sometimes I think it's better not to know what's going on when you aren't home. JustGav
Keep it light hearted, if your bin's are being emptied tomorrow well there isn't any harm. It is a lot better than just putting the bag on the floor and then a cat/fox ripping it open.

michael
Very interesting.... I presume the camera is indoors, looking out through a window? Could it be used outside? Yes, it's just looking out of a window. It's not waterproof unfortunately but you can buy outdoor camera housings I believe. You can get outdoor ones of course but this was just a cheap and cheerful solution for me
p111ddy
It really does depend on how long & how well you get along with them really. If you've never had issue's & there good neighbours then all is fine as your bin was as you say half empty. But I personally would have a word if it became a little to often

I am now walking around the house, pressing my face against the front windows to see if I could get the right angle to see my drive way....... MrRalphMan
Print off the picture, laminate it and stick it on the bin. Could be worth a laugh... Also you'll need to stop it if the dreaded government bring in charges for the weight of rubbish you get rid of.

Havard
I do this all the time! Thursday night charge out into the cul de sac, filling other peoples bins with our stuff!! This usually happens after we have forgotten to put our bin out the week before...... I don't think you should be annoyed but for some reason it does get on your tits......strange! H. Burna
Maybe she's trying to steal your identity! (If you believe all this government induced fear ) I would say no harm done this time, those bins don't seem big enough for a family to me. It's making me a bit paranoid though, sometimes I think it's better not to know what's going on when you aren't home. "Did the Postman just clip my wing mirror with his bag" and so on... The only aspects of my identity she's likely to get are my drinking habits Their bin is quite a bit bigger than mine, they seem to have upgraded to a double sized one. I know what you mean, I no longer check mine unless something happens. I think I'm hooked now though, imagine all the stuff like this I've missed in the past
Pete
It's not something I'd get too stressed about. All this recycling lark and bi-weekly emptying makes it difficult sometimes. Worse after xmas when the bins are bulging with wrapping paper and gift boxes.
Class One
IMO it would have been reasonable and polite for her to ask. I've been in a similar situation myself but at least had the decency to ask my neighbour. I'm sure if she had knocked on your door first I'm sure you would have have said yes? Life can be alot better at home if you have neighbours that you get on with rather than seeking to alienate them with petty tit for tat behaviour which often ends up escalating in to a full on dispute. jamesmark
It is a bin, it is bin day tomorrow. The fact that you have taken a picture of this person and posted in public forum is more alarming than putting some rubbish in your bin, granted the quality of the CCTV image is not really the best. I must admit she should have asked. Possibly the saddest post from you to date Michael. Let it worry you if she is putting something in your bin to cause vermin and spills it all over the place and does not clean it up. However it must annoy you, as you have went to great lengths to post on here about it, have a word.
michael
It is a bin, it is bin day tomorrow. No, it's bin day today - it's already been emptied, the cleaner men have been and the bin is back where it normally lives. I'm not sure if you can tell in text but I'm not stressing out about this, I find it funny. The fact that you have taken a picture of this person and posted in public forum is more alarming than putting some rubbish in your bin, granted the quality of the CCTV image is not really the best. Are you honestly alarmed by this? If I take a photograph and it captures someone walking past should I refrain from posting that too? I must admit she should have asked.. So you think what she's done is wrong? Possibly the saddest post from you to date Michael. . I doubt that to be honest, this is just a lighthearted observation of the things that go on when we aren't looking, I've posted worse. Let it worry you if she is putting something in your bin to cause vermin and spills it all over the place and does not clean it up. However it must annoy you, as you have went to great lengths to post on here about it, have a word. Or maybe I just considered it an interesting talking point, trust me, I'm not annoyed - you seem to be a bit stressed out about it though

ivan
LOL My neighbours do the same. But then there are only 2 of us and there's 5 of them - and I did volunteer any extra space to them.
