colsoop
Has the speed sensor been damaged when doing the work ?
Chris Wilson
Yep, the lead to one of the ABS sensors has been broken, it's often impossible to see the break as it's within the insulation. It'll almost certainly be a front one, as I see this all the time when butchers fail to remove the sensor, or fail to support things so as to not allow a strain on the sensor lead. mr keef
Thanks Colin/Chris looks like i need to investigate, although it seems a new sensor aint cheap
mr keef
are the front and rear sensors the same?as the wheel bearing he done was on the rear,so it could be that one also,or is it a case of just trying them all until i find the right one? dandan
There is something in the ABS (like a minimum speed) below which the ABS is supposed to be de-activated. Slow speed ABS issues seem a little strange as it's not supposed to be enabled (maybe it's Try the ABS system fault code diagnosis http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showpost.php?p=517078&postcount=

Ian C
Um, that means no faults then - which is odd as it sounds like one of your sensors is falsely reporting a locked-up wheel at low speeds. You haven't got RLTC have you, it's got a great real-time display of what your wheel sensors are up to

Terminator
That is really good to know. I think I may keep a couple of shaft. I suspect we will see more and more of this as the UK salt does its worst.
