Did they make him get out and walk? In holland you get caught at a bannable speed 50 kmph above the limit maximum of which is 120 kmph they ban you on the spot. If you are alone in your car or no other driver present you literally have to walk home. They will however kindly drive you to a cash machine to pay the fine on the spot which is going to be nasty huge. Oh and when they say they take your license off you they literally take it off you and send it to the dutch justice department. You want it back you have to apply in writing for it and trust me here that is a whole other complete ball ache. Dutch beurocracy is worldwide unrivaled.

If only he could drive that fast whilst at work, eh?

 eh!.

For now, there are plans afoot to harmonise driving penalties across EU states so if you're banned in one country you're banned in all the others too. :(

Cack. Thought we had to have referendums and such for this pants to come out and bite us. :(

Nope Mr Brown decides for you :( The people of this country can't be allowed to decide things like that .

Don't worry they don't realise the damage until one of these laws crops up and is cleverly used by a lawyer because it is so open to interpretation

Does that mean we get to use the same penalities they do, because a 1 month ban for 122 is NOTHING compared to over here... Willing to be bet we don't.
