supraguye
Was coming into work this morning .... hammered the car in second ... shifted to third .... and all of a sudden it bogged down.... let off immediately ... let the car role as I thought I had hit the fuel cut. Drove a lil further .... put the car in second .... and accelerate again .... as soon as it starts to come under boost ... it just bogs down .... spoke to my mechanic and he indicated that i had blown out an intercooler pipe. I have a 98 VVTi TT, do you guys think that his diagnosis is correct?
dandan
Do you have a boost gauge and if so what's that telling you?

Daston
If your decatted or BPU (you said your hitting the fuel cut so your overboosting) its quite common for the intercooler hose to come disconected (common place is the bottom of the pipe that connects to the throttle body)

I've hit the fuel cut once or twice .... so I know what that feels like ... once you hit it the cut and back off .... the car returns to normal ..... this time though ... no such joy ... the car car just bogs down once I reach the point where I should be doing boost. Should Mention that I have a Blitz FMIC installed
bodilx6
open the hood. stick your head in there. give it some revs, and you should be able to hear the tubby build at least a minimum of boost at letting it out somewhere. That place will probably be a hose thats popped off. If no boost builds or you cant hear any spool, I'll pass it on to someone more knowing...
