superpaulwilson
Hi guys. I've just got some new clear lenses to replace my old J-spec ones and have decided to do a full refurb. Thinking of going down the HID route but not too sure how. A search has left me more confused than when I started. Does a HID conversion just do the dip beam or dip & full? Would you normally do the fogs as well? Is there anything I can do with the sidelights? Is this info correct for J-spec? Dipped Beam - HB3 (9005) Full Beam - HB3 (9005) The lugs will need to be trimmed Sidelights - w5w Fog light - H3 Cheers

You can do all the lights if you want (except sidelights). I personally would never do full beams as they take a few seconds to warm up and you cannot flash anyone. The sizes are correct you mentioned, and fogs require a slight mod. If you do go for HID lights 4300k is the brightest, 6000k has a tint of blue, then 800k is even more blue and less bright and so on. It is a 5 min job to fit HID lights, start off with 9005 dipped.
